Cambodian Ministry of Commerce Announces Increased Retail Fuel Prices for March 8–10
Retail oil prices in Cambodia have seen a sharp rise amid escalating conflict in the Middle East. The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) issued a notice on March 8, 2026, announcing updated retail oil prices for the period of March 8–10.
According to the notice, regular gasoline currently costs KHR 4,400 per litre (up 14.2 per cent from the KHR 3,850 price on March 7), and diesel costs KHR 5,150 per litre (up 33.7 per cent from the KHR 3,850 price on March 7). Fuel prices are expected to be updated every three days.
To try and ease the pressure of rising fuel costs on citizens, Prime Minister Hun Manet has authorised the continued reduction of the retail fuel price by 6.5 cents (USD 0.065) per litre during this period.
On March 6, the MoC called on citizens to avoid stockpiling fuel in fear of shortages, as doing so without the right technical standards could increase fire risks. Cambodia currently imports all of its diesel and petroleum.
