The Cambodia Green Building Council is organising a seminar on ‘Green Building Trends’ on December 5, 2025, at CamTech University in Phnom Penh. The seminar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the drivers, tools, and practical applications shaping sustainable development in Cambodia.
The event will underscore the critical role of Sustainable Finance in closing the national funding gap, highlighting instruments like Green and Sustainability-Linked Bonds (SLBs) that tie financial terms to ESG performance. A new, accessible tool for the market was introduced with the SustainBuild Mark certification, a program designed to make sustainable building products the norm by offering an affordable and guided path for local manufacturers.
Practical implementation will be demonstrated through a case study by Blue Snow of the Green Industrial Park Investment (GIPI), which is pursuing LEED certification by integrating energy efficiency, water conservation, and construction waste management. A dedicated session on Circular Economy principles, will be presented by Little Green Spark, addressing the critical issue of waste in Cambodia's construction sector, advocating for designing out waste and creating efficient material loops.
Finally, the seminar will look to the technological frontier, exploring the massive energy demands of AI Data Centres and the imperative shift to advanced liquid-cooling systems to ensure future computational growth is sustainable. Collectively, the presentations will chart a cohesive path for Cambodia, linking innovative finance, standardised green products, and cutting-edge engineering to build a resilient, low-carbon future.
